BioActive Forages Breaks Ground in Madison County

07/22/2026

A major investment in North Florida's agricultural economy is officially underway as BioActive Forages has broken ground on a new feed manufacturing facility in Madison County. The multimillion-dollar project represents an exciting opportunity for the region, combining the strengths of North Florida's agricultural heritage with value-added manufacturing to create jobs, support local producers, and drive economic growth.

Once operational, the facility will process peanut hay and other legumes into pelletized livestock feed products, creating new market opportunities for area farmers while generating additional economic activity for transportation, construction, and related industries. The project is expected to create approximately 25 jobs in its initial phase, with opportunities for future expansion as production grows.

This groundbreaking is a powerful example of what can be achieved through strong partnerships and regional collaboration. By building upon the natural assets and industries that already thrive in rural North Florida, projects like BioActive Forages help create new opportunities for businesses, workers, and communities across the NFEDP region.
