Utilities

The North Central Florida region is covered by a myriad of utility providers that provide extremely competitive commercial and industrial rates—many below the national average.  Among the region’s utility providers is the nation’s largest utility company—Duke Energy.

Florida’s largest investor-owned utility—Florida Power & Light also services a significant portion of the region.  A number of high quality, competitive electrical cooperatives also serve across the region including Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative, Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Clay Electric, and Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc.

These companies not only provide tremendous energy options for competitive rates throughout the region, they provide incredible support to the NFEDP during project recruitment processes and for the organization overall enabling Scholarships for our community leaders, technical assistance to our local economic development organizations, and critical data and analysis.
