Who is the NFEDP?

The North Florida Economic Development Partnership (NFEDP) is a public/private, 501c(6) entity dedicated to facilitating economic development activity and high quality job growth, and securing capital investment in the 15-county region comprising North Central Florida.

The NFEDP is supported by local government and private sector/corporate partners, state and federal grants, and contracts for services. The NFEDP fulfills its mission through a range of professional services including:

  • Serving as the central point of contact for existing and prospective companies, and site selection consultants to contact in an effort to explore possible sites and locations for business siting, relocations and expansions;
  • Marketing and promoting the region nationally and internationally as a premier destination for business and economic development, and capital investment;
  • Providing technical assistance to local economic development professionals and elected officials, site selection consultants, and prospective businesses and investors on economic development projects;
  • Providing support and assistance for business retention and expansion efforts throughout the region;
  • Serving as a professional interface and coordination point for local economic development professionals, prospective businesses, state economic development project managers and officials at Enterprise Florida, Inc., and a number of state agencies and program representatives; and,
  • Developing and enhancing the leadership and professional economic development capacity of the region’s elected officials, economic development professionals, and community leaders by providing Scholarships to attend economic development-focused conferences and events, and developing and offering training and education programs, including the North Florida Economic Development Academy.
